About the Job

In this role, you'll be a principal dev team member working with product managers and the Dev team to ensure production of quality software. You will also be responsible for executing test cases, identifying bugs, and contributing to the overall QA process.


Job Description

  • Test Case Design: Develop and maintain manual or automated test cases based on requirements.
  •  Execution: Run tests (functional, regression, performance, etc.) and report results.
  • Bug Reporting: Accurately log defects with detailed reproduction steps.
  • Collaboration: Work with developers and stakeholders to address defects and clarify issues.
  • Tool Usage: Use test management and bug-tracking tools effectively (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Learning: Continuously improve skills by learning new tools, technologies, and methodologies

Skills

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Collaborate with QA team lead to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Consistently execute test cases (manual and/or automated) and analyze results in a timely manner
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Generate logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Effectively report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Follow-through and conduct post-release/post implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Competencies

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and team members 
  • Negotiation or collaboration skills 
  • Good personal time management and project management skills 

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • 3+ years working in an enterprise software engineering team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate  with diverse stakeholders and team members
